In Partnership With Klorane.

Someone hand me a soapbox, I gotta rant for a sec.

Having fine hair is both a blessing and a curse.

On the one hand, it dries at the mere sight of sunshine, making hair-wash days a cakewalk, not a chore. But on the other hand, grease can quickly turn a fresh ‘do flat just days after washing it.

I know what you’re thinking, my thick-haired friends: first-world problems blah blah blah.

But spare a thought for those of us lighter on the locks, forever chasing volume while resisting the urge to slick our strands back into a bun by day two, knowing that every time you do, your hairdresser dies a little inside.

(Claire, if you’re reading this, I’m trying my best, OK!?)

It’s a game of tug-of-war that I do not and will not participate in–and I love games.

That is, at least, since I got my hands on Klorane’s new dry shampoo.

What: Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat and CERAMIDE LIKE

Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat and CERAMIDE LIKE Dark Hair Tinted

If you're no stranger to the world of dry shampoos, you've probably heard of Klorane.

Considered the GOAT of dry shampoos, the French brand has been refreshing our locks since ‘71.

They made oat milk beauty a thing before any of us even thought to put the dairy alternative in our coffee cups.

Klorane’s dry shampoo was originally made for new mothers in hospitals who’d just given birth. Now, one is sold every 11 seconds worldwide, making it the most-awarded dry shampoo ever.

It’s even been backed by Margot Robbie, Gwyneth Paltrow and Rosie Huntington-Whitely–all great hair-havers, might I add.

Its success considered, you may be wondering why Klorane released a new version of its cult dry shampoo.

Well, the new Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat and CERAMIDE LIKE has been ‘skinified’ to include a 100% natural active ingredient that mimics ceramides to help repair, shield and strengthen our scalp and strands for healthier hair.

Here are some other notable features:

  • Gentle dry shampoo that’s dermatologically tested.

  • Soaks up excess oil, sweat, and odours for fresh hair, sans water.

  • Adds texture and volume, without that heavy feeling or crusty residue.

  • Designed to blend seamlessly with all hair types, with a tinted version for dark tresses.

  • Formulated with 99% natural origin ingredients including corn and rice starches, and kaolin clay.

To complement Klorane's new dry shampoo is the Quinine strengthening range.

This three-step system, including shampoo, conditioner and treatment, is formulated with quinine and vitamins B5 and B5 to tackle hair loss and thinning for fuller, thicker locks – just what this fine-haired writer needs.

Klorane recommends pairing the Oat & Ceramide LIKE Dry Shampoo with the Quinine range to give your hair an extra boost of vitality.

A handful of my colleagues and I, who all have different hair types, tried both the Klorane Dry Shampoo and Quinine range.

I took the Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat and CERAMIDE LIKE Dark Hair Tinted to the Sunshine Coast to visit family over the Easter long weekend.

(The ultimate testing ground for a moisture-absorbing product, if I do say so myself.)

In short, I’m obsessed.

I’ve typically struggled to find a formula that refreshes my hair without making it dry, gritty or stiff.

But with this one by Klorane, my tresses felt fresh and bouncy, with noticeable volume that gave my tresses a welcomed boost.

Unlike some dry shampoos I've tried, the Klorane dry shampoo didn't cake up my roots or weigh my hair down.

It also blended seamlessly and smells divine – not too overpowering, just fresh and clean.

All in all, it's an excellent dry shampoo that doubles as a volume-boosting spray more than worthy of a place in your haircare routine.

I've also been trialling Klorane's Quinine range for the past week or so and have some initial thoughts:

  • The range has an earthy, minty smell that feels fresh and reinvigorating.

  • Initially, I found the shampoo and conditioner to be a bit drying while showering, but once I blow-dried my hair, my hair felt nourished, soft, and healthy.

  • Even though the shampoo didn’t lather much, it did a decent job of cleansing my hair of oil, sweat and salty beach residue without stripping away its natural moisture.

  • The conditioner, while light in texture, managed to hydrate my hair without weighing it down, which is a big plus!

  • The serum gave my scalp a mild tingling sensation that feels revitalising and like it’s working hard to stimulate new hair growth.

  • While I can't vouch for long-term results just yet, the positive customer reviews give me hope that I'm on the right track to achieving thicker, fuller-looking hair.

"I’m a massive dry shampoo girl; I’ve got thick, black hair that literally gets greasy after one day, so that’s why a good dry shampoo to mask greasy roots is imperative in my hair styling routine.

The Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat and CERAMIDE effortlessly soaked up the oil in my roots, but the unexpected surprise was the shine it left on my hair:

That’s not something I’ve ever really experienced with dry shampoo before!

It also smells amazing and the $25 price point for the huge bottle is a pretty big plus too.

The thinning hair range wasn’t for me as that’s not a concern, but as a beauty editor I had to try it.

It comes with a ‘hot man’ smell so I think I’ll pass it on to my brother who would love every product in this range, but thinner hair friends would enjoy it as it left my hair soft, clean and I didnt need to disperse too much of each product."

I've always been a huge fan of Klorane products, they're such a great bang for buck.

Oh, and their dry shampoos.. top top-tier stuff.

So when our editors were looking for road testers for the Klorane Quinine range and Oat and Ceramide Dry Shampoo, my hand shot up.

Honestly, I don't know if my hair has ever felt this soft and airy, there's a noticeable difference when I run my fingers through my hair.

When you use it there's a tingly sensation you get on your scalp which I'm a HUGE fan of, I don't know if this is TMI but you do feel the tingles as the water runs down your body LOL.

The dry shampoo was phenomenal, I gave it a little spritz before dancing and even went into the office the next day without washing my hair, so lightweight but works so well.

So, so impressed.

I tried the Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat and CeramideLIKE Dry Shampoo and I'm so delighted to say I adored it.

It didn't leave my freshly dyed red hair with any white cast, and also soaked up any oiliness leaving me with fresh hair that wasn't weighed down like I've felt in the past with other dry shampoos I've tried.

It didn't leave my hair or scalp feeling brittle either, which meant I could go a day or two extra without washing which was perfection!
