The Evo Products I’ve Been Using on My Dry and Damaged Hair for Years

I feel like I’m one of those people that will forever have dry/damaged hair.

Not for lack of wanting to take care of it, it’s just that I love to get it coloured and will never part with my heat tools.

Honestly I can’t remember the last time I air dried my hair… and I even took my hair straightener into the Amazon jungle with me once - just in case.

So when I find hair products that tick all the boxes I keep them on high rotation - and that’s how I have managed to keep evo haircare in my routine for a gazillion years.

I can’t even begin to tell you when I started using it, I just remember firstly falling in love with the witty branding and then the products.

Also packaging really matters to me.

The thing with evo hair though, is that they not only create great products, while they’re probably a little more in the mid-range type of budget space - they’re not overly expensive either so I have always managed to keep them on high rotation.

Evo hair products don’t get enough hype in my humble opinion so if your hair is also on the dry/damaged side and is in need of extra hydration here are my top 5 picks from the range...

1. Evo the Therapist Hydrating Shampoo.

What: evo the therapist hydrating shampoo 300ml is a hydrating shampoo that gentle cleanses and repairs.

How I use it in my routine: Wet hair, lather and rinse as you normally would.

My mini evo the therapist hydrating shampoo review:

I love this evo shampoo as I find it hydrates my thick hair properly, while simultaneously making it feel repaired and taming frizz.

Obviously I prefer to use it with the hair mask or conditioner but it’s great for every day.

2. Evo the Therapist Hydrating Conditioner.

What: evo the therapist hydrating conditioner 300ml is a great weekly conditioner that hydrates hair, doesn’t feel heavy and tames frizz.

How I use it in my routine: Wet hair, shampoo and follow with conditioner as you normally would.

My mini evo the therapist hydrating conditioner review:

While I do love this conditioner, as I only tend to wash my hair a couple of times a week I much prefer to be using a hair mask in place of conditioner when I do.

However, I do think this product is better for finer hair too as mine is quite thick.

3. Evo the Great Hydrator Moisture Mask.

What: evo the great hydrator moisture mask 150ml is a hydrating treatment mask that’s best used for dry/colour damaged hair.

How I use it in my routine: After shampooing, I apply it and leave it in for 3-5 mins.

I often use this in place of the conditioner and it makes world of difference.

My mini evo the great hydrator moisture mask review:

As my hair is quite damaged and I probably don’t blow dry it as frequently as I should, I tend to use this evo hair mask in place of conditioner.

It just feels slightly heavier and I think it works better when my hair is feeling frizzy or damaged.

I also personally love it as it can be used super quickly and as a mum I don’t often have the luxury of time to sit around in hair masks all day - and this just gets the job done quickly and effectively.

4. Evo Head Mistress Cuticle Sealer.

What: evo head mistress cuticle sealeris a multi purpose blow dry cream that helps reduce frizz and helps tame frizzy ends.

How I use it in my routine: I just apply a pump through my ends pre-blowdrying and after shampooing, conditioning and adding my treatment.

My mini evo head mistress cuticle sealer review:

This is one of my favourite products to help tame frizz before a blow dry.

I don’t use it on its own though I fully have a whole host of blow dry/heat protecting products in my routine to tame my wild hair when I blow dry - because I need it - however, this one always goes on first.

I apply it predominantly on the ends to seal in the cuticles - as it says it does.

Besides taming frizz, it really helps my damaged hair feel and look more hydrated and less damaged.

5. Evo Icon Welder Heat Protection Mist.

What: evo icon welder heat protection mist is a heat protectant spray that helps to protect hair against heat damage.

How I use it in my routine: Apply post shampoo and pre blow dry.

I actually spray each section individually before I use anytype of heat on my hair.

My evo icon welder heat protection mist review:

A few years ago I had a chunk of my hair chemically burnt off and ever since I have been obsessive when it comes to protecting my hair pre-blow dry or heat use.

I will never blow dry my hair without a heat protectant and this one is super easy to use.

Adore Beauty founder Kate Morris also happens to be a fan of this heat protectant!

I just spray each section before I pop any heat on it and voila.

Honestly my hair is so much healthier now because of it.

Final Thoughts...

If you are on the hunt for a great but still affordable shampoo and conditioner range evo haircare is one of my faves.

And hopefully these mini evo hair care reviews helped you decide if they are right for you.

It does everything it says it does, the products look cute in your bathroom and there are a few different ranges to choose from to help you with your hair’s needs.

As my hair is quite hard to tame and in constant need of hydration due to the heat and colour I force upon it, I love the hydrating range as it doesn’t feel heavy and works really well to keep my hair soft, frizz-free and easy to manage.

Love love love!

I have been using it for years and I won’t be stopping any time soon.
