Really strong fragrance

Ailish

The fragrance is SO strong. It smells like a G&T. Really really thick. I wouldn't put it on my face, but maybe hands and elbows/knees etc.
  1. Smells nice

    Brig

Goes off very quickly and separates, had to throw mine out after a short time as it was oil and cream separated.
  2. Disappointing :(

    Bella

I was excited to try this after a trusted make up influencer I follow highly recommended this as a primer before makeup. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get past the scent after opening it for the first time. i acknowledge I probably missed it in the description but I didn’t expect this product to have a strong fragrance to it. And unfortunately I can’t use it as I’m sensitive to fragrance on my face :(
  3. Super hydrating and great travel size

    Scarlet

I love weleda skin food, have been using for years on my face at night. It's thick going on so wouldn't use it in the day, but always wake up with hydrated skin. Love this small size for travel!
  4. Too thick and sticky

    Chels

Not good for the face at all way too thick and sticky texture even for the body it's a bit much.
  5. Smells great, moisturises skin better

    Leish

This is a viral product for a reason. Thick formula for great hydration. Does leave the skin a little sticky which is great for under makeup to assist with longevity or just wear to sleep
  6. This is amazing

    Amanpreet

It’s really great product, arrived on time and got the results I didn’t expected
  7. Very moisturising

    Keesh

I originally order this when I was looking for a nice face cream and this was recommended. It was not until buying it I realised it is more a hand or cracked heal cream. In saying this a little on the face or neck makes your skin feel very soft the next morning. A few people have mentioned the scent. I think it is on very slightly scented it is not over powering or off putting.
  8. Really strong fragrance

    Ailish

The fragrance is SO strong. It smells like a G&T. Really really thick. I wouldn't put it on my face, but maybe hands and elbows/knees etc.
  9. Travel Size

    Kimberley

Great to have a smaller size to take on weekend trips, pop in the purse or glovebox.
  10. Super nourishing

    Gen

This is my go to product when my skin is extra dry during winter. Leaves my skin feeling plump and hydrated.
  11. Smells yummy

    Rachael

This is a super think and viscous product. Softens up the skin really well and not much is needed. The smell is very much like essential oils and is really nice. Im a sucker for gorgeous packaging and this product does not meet that.
  12. Great size

    Jane

I adore the smell (lemongrass) and hydration of this product and it is a great travel size!
  13. Dry skin bestie

    Em

Makes your skin look great, affordable, I have dry skin and this is so hydrating plus great under make up 10/10 most buy
  14. My 3rd tube

    Izzy

Love this stuff I use it on everything. So good for cracked skin and even as a mask over night. Very balmy consistency
  15. Always amazing

    Izzy

My second tube of this! I use it everywhere
  16. Very hydrating

    Tanya

At first I was shocked at how strong the fragrance was, and it was too much for me. Have been using it on my elbows and its pretty amazing. Definitely very moisturising.
  17. Thicc

    Monique

I love thick moisturisers, this one is definitely one of my favourites because it melts so nicely so it's easy to spread around skin, the scent is a bonus
  18. So good!

    Dani

I love this product. It definitely helps dry hands. Just don't plan on touching anything for a bit after putting it on! A bit on the expensive side though
  19. It's fine but not worth the hype

    Yumna

This is an ordinary skin cream, I'm not sure why it is so hyped up. It also leaves a greasy film so really only best to use if you have very dry skin. The bottle is small but will last for a very long time as you don't need much. Smells a bit strong too.
  20. Good value super moisturiser

    Katie Rose

I recieved this moisturiser as a sample. I initially wasn't a fan of the smell but once I tried it, I was in love and I am now on my third tube. I have very sensitive, dry skin and I am prone to eczema. This cream has helped my skin so much. If you don't have oily skin and you want a dewy makeup look, putting it under your makeup looks amazing. But if you are not a fan of strong herbal smells...

  21. Thick creamy delicious

    Patricia

It is a super thick cream but very hydrating wThe application tips is to rub it in your hand to warm melt them before applying I love the smell Its like gin tonic but i personally dont need to use such a thick cream and its quite expensive to be used just around the body
  22. very thick consistency

    magdalena

bought this because I saw it helps with stretch marks when using it consistently. I was expecting the cream to be very thick and heavy feeling - smells nice
  23. The best

    Zee

Used it for my face after waxing I love it , really good
  24. Good product for very dry skin

    Holly

I bought this for my boyfriend who suffers from dry patches in the winter. The product is so effective it doesn't need to be applied every day - it seems to take the dryness away for at least three days. It is definitely too thick to use every day or under makeup - I might try using it as a mask though.
  25. Thick and Sticky

    Nicoler112

I found this product to be too thick and sticky for facial use. It didnt feel nice on the face, a bit tacky and my skin found it a bit irriating.
  26. Holy grail

    Carly

This is such a nice product - would recommend
  27. Organic

    Naomi

Thick and creamy. Received as a sample and tried on my face and thought it was very thick but it soaked in pretty well. Really nice to use on dry lips and also on cuticles.
  28. Thick and Nourishing

    Karina

This cream is SUPER thick. You only need a little but really need to warm it up in yours hands first. Its perfect for the winter dry spots. Those with oily skin may not like it but as someone with normal to dry skin this is perfect for spot use when needed
  29. The best skin food

    Fayys

Works so well made my skin so so smooth . It did not make my skin greasy at all !
  30. Winter Skin Saviour

    aasydney2000

I use this cream specifically on dry patches of skin on my face, especially in winter- around my eyes, tips of nose and forehead. It is very thick but used in small patches, it forms a beautiful barrier against dry cold air.
  31. Very thick and sticky

    Victoria

This is a very thick and sticky consistency so doesn't work well for regular use. I have used it as an overnight mask on occasion but otherwise have been using it as a hand cream to use it up. It also has a slight citrus fragrance which I don't love
  32. Enjoy

    Jess

I actually use this on my lips and it works better than any other lip balm ive used.
  33. Excellent

    melooski

Super, super rich cream that sorts out any of my dry skin issues... perfect to use on dry hands and feet or to soothe after too much sun. I use this on my daughter any time she has any little skin irritations and it sorts them out.
  34. amazing

    S

This has a lovely aroma and citrusy smell. It is a small sized tube but it is very rich. So moisturising for acne, dry or oily skin
  35. Lovely product

    Shay

This is really great on my skin and helps my dry skin a lot
  36. Very thick but great for dry spots

    Nat

This smells great and is super hydrating especially for really dry areas of your face and body, like elbows. I find it way too thick and sticky to use regularly, especially on my face. Great when you really need some extra help.
  37. Amazing

    Kath

This is amazing! It is a thick heavy moisturiser so I use it at night time and I wake up with the softest skin. I bought the small size to try it out and will definitely be getting the larger one!
  38. sticky

    Alex

I find it's way too thick and sticky to use over my entire face (I can't even rub it in, it tugs so much), but it's good for dry patches and thicker skin like on elbows and knees as it's so deeply nourishing and balmy
  39. Very thick and sticky

    Natalie

The consistency of this was very strange, thick and sticky. There's no way i could use this on my oily skin. However i ended up using it on super dry areas like my knees, and made them super soft and moisturized. It has a almost herby rosemary citrus scent, which i liked but my son didn't like at all lol.
  40. Smells amazing

    Cass

This cream smells amazing! It has a strong floral/earthy smell. I originally bought it to use on the face but I found the smell a bit too strong for that, but it works really well for locking in moisture on the hands and body. It has a tick consistency, you need to warm it up in your hands to spread it but it is great as an occlusive layer.
  41. Not your average moisturiser

    Freya

This is really thick and intense, perfect for very dry skin. I put it on my eczema prone legs after shaving. The smell is lovely and orangey but it never irritates
  42. Love it

    Elle

I bought the smaller version to try on a recommendation from a friend and love it! The cream is very thick and heavy duty so a little bit goes on a long way, but works amazing on those stubborn dry patches during winter + I love the smell
  43. Amazing

    NN

Perfect moisturiser for the face. I also use it as a hand cream on some nights.
  44. Not sure

    Nicole

I got this as a sample and I have to say - I don't really like the texture of this hand cream, it's so thick and creamy and greasy at the same time. I like my hand cream light and fast absorbing and unfortunately this does not tick all the boxes for me.
  45. Great for dry patches

    Sam

I use this for when my skin is particularly flaky - it was a godsend when I first started a retinol and had dry patches around my mouth. Too heavy for me to use as an all-over moisturiser though
  46. So nourishing!

    Isabella

I had read lots of positive reviews about this moisturiser and it has lived up to its hype. My skin feels so soft after using it and it is so nourishing and hydrating. The only downside is the scent of the moisturiser, but that can be overlooked.
  47. Perfect salve

    Sarah

I heard lots about this before actually trying it but at first, I wasn't all that impressed. Since my skin isn't dry, it was too heavy and sticky as a moisturiser. However, it works perfectly as an ointment for whenever I get red skin after insect contact in summer.
  48. Great

    erin

Very moisturising for my hands and cuticles
  49. Love love love

    Flick

This cream totally gives my skin a plump hydrated glow! Love it and highly recommend
  50. Many uses, but not for an everyday hand balm

    Cassandra

The best use for this product is to use as a highlighter on the face. I personally find it too greasy to use as a hand cream, although might be a good night option with gloves. Glad they have since released a lighter version!
  51. Very moisturising but questionable scent

    Astrid

I bought this product as I heard a few reputable beauty YouTubers rave about it. The texture of the product is really thick like difficult to spread initially but you can work it into your fingers and then it will become easier to apply. The smell is the only reason I gave them one less star. I know it’s not important but the smell really reminds me of something alcoholic.. like a bad decision hah...

  52. Love this for slugging!

    CG

This is a super thick cream and I wouldn't use it as a moisturiser on its own, but I love it for slugging! A few times a week I apply a layer over my nightly skincare routine as a barrier to lock it in - I look like a shiny disco ball but totally worth it. You wake up with the smoothest skin ever! Also great on cuticles and dry skin patches. Strong fruity scent, but I personally love the smell.
  53. Unsure about this one

    MB

Still so unsure what to make of this stuff! It smells so pungent & the scent is not great, it’s not horrible but it’s also nothing amazing, just smells like a fake lemon scent, kind of like house cleaner. It is decent as a cuticle cream but I don’t find it moisturising enough for my skin elsewhere, especially as it does not spread super well. I have very dry skin, eczema & sensitive skin in genera...

  54. Heavy Duty

    Tina

This product is a life saver during the colder months when my skin starts becoming more flaky despite the amount of moisturiser I layer on. The product has a thick consistency but absorbs fast into the skin and I like to use it on top of my usual skincare routine to give extra hydration. The cream does have a rather strong herbal citrusy smell which may be a downside for some people.
  55. Dry skins best friend

    Nikkilee

This is the best occlusive barrier cream I have found for my dry, flaky, eczema prone skin. It is so thick you don’t even need to use a lot and I use it as my last step in my routine to lock in all the moisture I’ve just put on my face in my routine. I was hesitant to get this as it has fragrance and essential oils in it but my skin has not reacted to those at all! The fragrance is a little strong...

    Christina

This product is amazing at what it promises. It is thick and offers supreme protection against the winter elements. It also smells nice and doesn't cost the earth, so it has my vote every time!
  57. it has it's place

    Jess

A really nice stand by product if you're super dry or irritated, but it's very very thick and sticky -- you have to work it between your hands before applying (pat, don't rub, you won't get anywhere) I do like to have it on hand for SOS skin moments or as a thick hand cream at night, but I could live without it.
  58. Thick!

    Emily

I have quite dry skin so I was really looking forward to trying this product out. However, I found it really hard to spread over my whole face and neck in a 'kind to skin' way. I felt like I had to really pull it around and it was quite sticky to work with. More times than not, I also had a slight 'tight' feeling of the skin after use which was disappointing as my face looked very shiny and moistu...

  60. natural

    dani

This is a miracle worker in the winter. Works on the hands and face and smells divine
  61. Beautiful!

    Madeleine

Beautiful product for very dry skin! I used on my face and given its pretty thick and tacky I’d recommend using well before bed time so it can absorb well. Smells like endota spa too!!
  62. Skin saver

    Anthea

This is the best product l for very dry skin! I use this on my elbows, knees, cuticles and of course my race at night throughout winter! It is super thick, so my trick is to run it under the hot tap before use to soften it. Apply onto your face at night to wake up with smooth, glows skin!
  63. Hydrating

    Amelia

Such a hydrating product- leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturised. This bottle is a great size for day-to-day or travel, as it fits nicely in my bag.
  64. hydration ... sensation, highly reccommended for cold winters.

    Tizita

I picked this up after seeing Dr. Shereene Idriss raving about it on instagram. I have dry combination skin and was looking for a thirst quencher during Winter. And oh boy (girl), did this do the trick.

The ingredients are really great, my only issue is that it's scented, I prefer something with less essential oils. I was able to overlook that given how hydrating this cream is.

  66. Those with sensitive skin... read before using

    Gab

I purchased this product to use as a moisturiser in my night-time skincare routine after reading all the rave reviews. I get dry, flaky skin in the winter so I was hoping this 'skin food' would work to hydrate/calm my dry patches and soothe my face. Boy was in for a surprise - the texture of this cream is very tacky, it takes a few rubs for it to become spreadable. I used this on my face once, my ...

  69. Too sticky

    Lila

This was just so sticky and hard to spread. It stays very tacky. I liked how it looked on bare skin, but it was a pain to put on, I felt like I was really pushing my skin around and disrupting products underneath. I think this is more of a skin salve for trouble patches rather than an all over moisturiser.
  70. A true holy grail product

    Amelia

I have been using this product regularly for the past 8 years... so I can offer a very tried and tested review! Joan

I bought this because I’d read about it everywhere and wanted to try it. I applied a very small amount on my face at bedtime after my usual serums and oil etc. A little goes a very long way! Julia

This product is so versatile. I use it on my face, at night, about once a week for a hydration boost and I wake up glowing, I also use it on my elbows during the winter, and on any other rough spots on my skin. At the price point, why not have one to carry in your handbag?

  78. Irritating

I received a sample size of this product.
I'm disappointed it didn't work for me. I have sensitive dry hands and instantly once I applied I got a headache and my hands felt like they were burning.
  79. Great product

    Dawn

I love this moisturiser. It’s great as part of a nighttime routine to give your skin a good drink! I don’t use every night as I rotate between this and retinol. It’s so great under the eyes too, and I have sensitive skin that goes red in the eye area with most products. It’s also great for dry hands.

  84. Great hydrating mask!

    Lauren

I use this product like a hydrating mask, once or twice a week. Smells beautiful and goes on kind of thick but easier to spread when mixed with a serum. Using this once or twice a week at night.
  85. Beautiful head to toe cream

Loveeee! Definitely rich and intensive as stated on the bottle. Has a lovely scent too. Tend to use it as a hand cream and leaves them feeling super soft and moisturised. I will also use it on any dry spots on my face.
  86. THE SMELL....

    Nicki

I wanted to be obsessed with this balm-like ointment but the smell makes my angry, sensitive skin scream. Good as a hand cream/ foot cream but I wouldn't use it on my face again. Avene's Ciclafate or Xeracalm balm are more occlusive alternatives without fragrance if you need deep skin restoration!
  87. My newest essential

    Kristy

This product has many uses for me. I suffer from eczema and is a great substance from steroid creams. It’s super hydrating and healing. I also love using it to help blemishes heal and as an eye cream. Honestly love this product and use it every night. I will be trying the light version in hope to use it for day time use as it is more like an ointment
  88. Rich and thick

    Mari

Just be aware this product is quite thick! Would be great for dry skin and especially coming into winter! But I've got oily skin so I think I will try the lighter version next time and keep this for use on my body!
  89. My numero uno

    Char Char

I absolutely love this stuff!!!!!!!!!! I have an autoimmune condition which causes dry skin & this is super sticky and thick to put on but I always wake up feeling fresh & hydrated. It is an acquired smell but I love it now. Wish they made it in a huge 2L bottle so I could lather it all over
  90. Really thick

    GB

This is really hydrating and smells beautiful, I also love that it is certified organic. It is just quite thick and takes a while to sink into the skin, so your hands feel a bit greasy immediately after use. In saying that, in the long run my hands are more supple and not dry at all.
  91. Hit & Miss

    Shani

Love this stuff. It’s super thick but really works on dry skin. My hands have been so dry from over washing and using gloves at work and this stuff has really calmed down the dryness, itchiness and redness on my hands (I think I had some kind of dermatitis) and it’s practically gone. I also put it around my cuticles and feet. Does the trick.
