Urban Apothecary Smoked Leather has an approximate burn time of 60 hours.Made using natural soy wax and cotton wicks, these candles are precisely crafted to the strictest specifications. Hand-poured in Leicestershire, England, expert artisans oversee every stage of the candle making process, for a finished piece that burns slowly and evenly with a rich scent release.

Perfectly blended, Urban Apothecary’s Smoked Leather fragrance combines the softest whispers of antique smoked leather, soft suede and saffron. Olibanum adds a fragrant, incense-like smokiness, as woody heart notes add comforting warmth. Smoked Leather ends with a burst of vetiver, for a bright and embracing finish.

On first use, ensure you burn your candle for as long as it takes for the wax to melt across the entire surface. This process should be repeated any time you light your candle, in order to prevent tunneling.

After extinguishing your candle, once the wick is cool to the touch centre and straighten it if necessary.

As the wax pool cools and begins to set, remove any matches or other debris that may have fallen in. This will prevent flaring and formation of secondary wicks on the next lighting.

Trim the wick to 5 millimetres after every use. This is the correct height to create the perfect size of flame for both an even burn and to help avoid wisps of smoke occurring in the future.

Always place your candle in a safe area on a heat proof, non-flammable surface where it can be seen, enjoyed, and never left unattended.

Check that the area around your candle is clear, with nothing in close proximity that could catch fire, and away from drafts that could distress the flame.

If you have children or pets, place the candle far out of reach.
