It's a good light moisturiser, great price but I much prefer Biologi for my skin
  1. Brightens complexion overnight

    Natalie

This was hreat to moisturize and brighten my complexion overnight. the only downside is that if i used it too many days in a row it did cause me to breakout a bit.
  2. Good alternative to other vitamin c products

    Anne

I have been using this product every morning under sunscreen. The product is relatively lightweight, easy to blend in and does not irritate my sensitive skin. I also noticed some brightening when I used this product, however the improvement is pretty minimal.
  3. Staple in my routine

    Shirley

This vitamin C is a staple in my routine.
Texture wise - this feels like a cream and is honestly not the most cosmetically elegant - it definitely pills under other products.
However, i prefer it to other vitamin C's as you are able to use it with niacinamide as its a more stable form of vitamin C. For me, it had the same brightening effect as other vitamin C products i've tried

  4. Best ordinary product

    Emmajane

I’ve used a few ordinary offerings now - this delivers the most obvious and visible effects for me. Used in the day on it’s own the formula makes skin look even toned straight away, I think it must have some sort of Illuminator in it. Over time definitely produces long term and ongoing benefits re pigmentation and overall skin condition.

  6. Gritty not pretty

    Charlie

I really love a lot of the Ordinary products but unfortunately not this one! I wanted to love this for its price point alone but it has a very strange, gritty texture and seems to sit on the skin rather than sink into it. I much prefer the Vitamin C Suspension 23% in the Ordinary’s Vitamin C range.
  7. a good basic vit c

    Rebecca

This is my preferred vit c in the Ordinary's range.

Compared to the others that I've tried - Tetraisopalmitate Solution (which is a coloured oily serum) and Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% (which is stronger - so it can sting - and has a sticky consistency), I like this one because it goes on nice and easily, so it's easier to layer with your other products.
  8. Amazing

I only wear this on days when I am not wearing makeup. It has improved my hyperpigmentation after many weeks
  9. Very nice vitamin C

    rachael

This is my first vitamin C product and I really enjoy using it as a day cream. It's not too oily and spread out on my skin very easily, it also doesn't cause any issues when I apply sunscreen and makeup on top it. The only problem is that I found my foundation will get shiny more easily from this product, but it's not a big problem. It is a very good product for its price and I would totally recom...

    Ruth

I bought this to help deal with some pigmentation but my skin can be sensitive to vitamin C products. This one is gentle and moisturising and I find that I can tolerate it really well. I’ve been using it consistently and putting on SPF whenever I step outside and the combination has helped with the pigmentation issues I bought it for. Not dramatic but good enough for me!
  12. Great Vitamin C Starter

    Charlie

I use this in my morning routine, it helps to moisturise my skin without leaving it oily in combination with HA. Doesn't affect my makeup. This was the first Vit C product I used and defintiely saw some minor improvements in pigmentation when combined with my full routine after about a month.
  13. Great for moisture

    Lauren

I put this on as a morning, its very moisturising and sinks in really well. it doesnt react with my makeup or pill up. This was my first introduction to vitamin c, it is very nice any my skin did not react to it but I did not see any differences after using the whole tube. I have now moved on to a stronger product.
  14. Love this!

    Toom

Great for if you want to use vitamin C products but normal vitamin C products are too harsh. This goes on so smoothly and soaks up nicely. The skin feels soft and moisturised right after applying. There's a bit of a smell that I can't really pinpoint but it's not bad or anything. There's just a certain scent. It's so moisturising, I didn't expect it to be due to how other vit c products are. I use...

I really liked this, the texture is lovely on application and I definitely noticed an improvement in my skin texture - felt smoother within about a week of use - I could even use this without using any AHAs and my skin was feeling smoother. Definitely a nice, effective product at a great price point, and I will use again when my budget is feeling stretched!
  18. Great gentle vitamin c

    Monica

I have slight dermatitis around my chin and this is the only vitamin c product that doesn't irritate it. It doesn't smell particularly nice but once layered with other serums and moisturisers it doesn't matter too much. I have definitely noticed that my complexion appears more unified since using this every morning for a couple of months.
  19. Good Vit C

    Cheryl

I’ve tried a quite a few of The Ordinary Vit C products to find the right one for me. This one has a nice creamy texture that isn’t greasy and I had no issues with irritation. I was having issues with 20% Ascorbic Acid serum from another brand and had to stop using it as it was giving me skin sensitivity and makes my skin feel burnt. 22. not for sensitive skin

    Lauralee

I wanted to love this but it's not for my skin. I know vitamin c can be reactive but this has caused red, itchy, blotchy welts. I did a patch test and it was fine so I was surprised at how my skin reacted after one use. Thankfully I didn't dish out too much money for this one.

i also found it too sticky to wear under makeup
  23. Brightening and not irritating

    Becky

I find that lot of products with vitamin c in them irritate my skin. This one doesn’t irritate at all. It goes on really nicely and I noticed a definite brightening effect after a few weeks of using this. My only criticism is that it doesn’t last very long so it ends up being quite expensive long term. This is a must try for anyone who is sensitive to vitamin c!
  24. Great product only use a small amount for oily skin

    Alexandria

I have combination-oily skin and can only use a small amount of this product as it can make my skin appear greasy I use this then my dermalogica active moist over it and my skin stays matte all day.
  25. Awesome product

    Hannah

This is my first vitamin c purchase and I'm very happy! My skin feels so smooth and hydrated. I use at night on top of my usual moisturiser. I have breakout prone skin and no breakouts with this cream. It's been a god sent during winter, no dry skin yet and my skin is glowing. Will continue using this.

Let me start off by saying this product is a really good way to get the benefits of vitamin C without the side effects such as dryness etc. It is gentle and easy to apply. However the texture is not the greatest and the smell is unappealing. Overall it's not bad and it does the job. But there are better options out there.

Leaves my skin feeling soft and dewy without feeling to heavy or thick. With regular use, my skin becomes clearer and smoother. I don’t know why I kept trying other products when this one is consistently the best. I won’t be going back now!

I have sensitive oily/dewy skin. I did read the guide beforehand so tried the MAP for sensitive skin rather than the Vit C Suspension as mentioned. MAP sure does brighten the skin tone as it says and keeps your skin hydrated but not greasy/shiny. I used this straight after toning then used moisturiser on top and it just leaves your skin feeling silky smooth and bright! I love it. Absorbs quickly a...

  82. Foul-smelling, leaves a greasy residue

    Rosie

This was my introduction to vitamin C products. I decided to start with MAP because it's supposed to be gentle and non-irritating. However I could only bear to use it a couple of times due to the strong smell (in between vomit and old wet cardboard), and the gross texture (a thick oily cream that left a filmy residue on both face and fingers). I contacted Adore and they kindly sent me a replacemen...

This is a very gentle vitamin c serum that can also be used as a serum/moisturiser (if you have oily skin). It definitely has a brightening factor, but I think it might be more hydrating formula than vitamin c ingredients. I have dry sensitive skin and this is very gentle and nice to use; probably even too mild/gentle. I prefer other Deciem vitamin c serums, like the Hylamide C25, as the vitamin C...

  84. Good daily treatment

    Andrea

I have normal, not sensitive skin and was looking for a concentrated overnight treatment and found a really good one on this product. It has virtually no smell, had a thick consistency and thus far it's keeping my skin looking good. It's a great product for the price it costs.
  85. Didn't see much discernable effect

    Alexandra

I have used up one bottle of this. It didn't really do much for me - yeah, my skin has brightened over time but I feel that's because of products I was using in conjunction with it, as they were already working before I started using this product. Maybe it's just not enough for me, or I don't have enough pigmentation issues for it to have a noticeable effect on me. I've found the 23% vitamin C wit...

  86. Brightening, hydrating, affordable!

    Frankie

I absolutely love the cream consistency of this Vitamin C product! It works as an extra layer of hydration and spreads really evenly. I definitely saw a brightening to my skin after a month or so, and my freckles are less visible.

Make sure you store the cream in a cool, dark place though, my first tube went off within 5 weeks from getting too warm. The second has lasted me just fin...

  87. Yes!

    Agatek

I really like that one, much more than another vitamin C product from The Ordinairy I’ve tried before. I like that it is a light cream and that it actually works. I’m very happy. If only it was as cheap as the other version... but - you can’t have everything : ) I will repurchase.
  88. Lovely Vitamin C

    Elizabeth

Bought this to add a Vitamin C to my regime. As I have extremely sensitive skin, especially after going through "the change", I was a bit reluctant to try something new. I went with The Ordinary as it had just 10% Vitamin C, was a good price, was well reviewed, was fragrance free, and if it didn't work, I hadn't spent a lot of money. I am almost through my first tube, and have ordered 3 more so...

  90. Love It

    Honeygem

This cream does what it says, it brightens and freshens the face. I love it. I will say though if you have sensitive skin make sure you add a water based serum underneath it as it can sting a little without it. Because I have hormonal acne and a little rosacea, I cleanse, tone, then add a water based serum first. This acts as a barrier. Don’t apply it to sun affected skin, it will sting. Just use ...

  91. A beautiful cream that does what it says!

    Yvonne

I love The Ordinary, and have been delving into their products thanks to AdoreBeauty. This Vit C cream is wonderful- my skin is brighter, smoother and so much softer.
The only gripe is a minor one to do with the consistency of cream in the tube- too easy to dispense too much product, so it doesn’t last long enough. I might try the 12% vit c just for the dropper application. Otherwise, 5 sta...

  92. Great for small areas

    justine

I used this on my face, neck and decolettage. It is great - it's effective, has a lovely texture, no stinging, etc. However, I used it up too quickly. It's cheap. I could buy more, but I'm going to try one of the serums this time to see if I can make it last longer. If this was a body lotion (in a litre bottle) I'd be smothering myself in it.
  93. Delivers results quickly

    Bella

I have been using the ordinary for just over a month and am seriously impressed! I use this product during the day, paired with 'The Buffet'. It has noticeably improved my uneven skin tone, and I have experienced no negative skin reactions (i'm very sensitive). My one misgiving is that the texture isn't great for pairing with makeup, it can sort of peel off during the day. I'm finding that I have ...

My skin love The Ordinary!!!! After spending so much money on high end creams and moisturisers, this affordable one has pleased me!!! It has a silky rich texture. I use it after exfoliating my skin with Medik8 White Balance Cleanse. It get absorbed quickly on my skin and after few seconds my skin feels really hydrated and plump. My skin looks brighter and smoother after application. I wear my make...
