I have tried a few retinols before this, and it is by far the best of the best. I was tempted to go stronger as I'd used previous ones before (other brands) and I'm glad I didn't, this is strong enough to see and feel results but no sensitivity, purging or peeling that might have happened if I went stronger.Recommend!
Used this based off reviews and recommendation on the podcast. It’s perfect beginning retinol. My skin did not react. The product was smooth and almost hydrating. Love it and have now moved onto number 6.Recommended!

This is a super gentle retinal to start with. I have somewhat sensitive skin that can be a bit dramatic with stronger products. Had no issues with this retinal, and my skin was noticeably more glowy after only a couple of uses. The smell is lovely, too.The holy grail of retinal

I was new to retinal and after watching youtube reviews by Caroline Hirons and blogs by a model recommends I decided to start with 3. No irritation and my skin feels a bit more smoother. I started Medik8's retinal at Retinal 3 as I had previously used skinstitut retinol. I have been using this 1 to 2 nights a week, it goes on smoothly and has an almost cinnamon like scent. I have very sensitive skin that often reacts with blotchiness and redness after actives. I have found this to not cause any irritation. After use I feel plump and hydrated. Great entry level retinol if you don't have sensitive skin. I started with Retinal 1, then moved to this. Like Retinal 1, it is hydrating and absorbs quickly. This is my first ever experience with retinol. I have used this for several months now and quite like it! I haven't noticed dramatic results but will continue to use as retinol requires consistency. I was using Avene physiolift night creme prior to using this product. I use medik 8 B5 hydration drops before using this and it works really well. I have sensitive skin and I did not have any issues with rashes and inflammation even though I started using it daily pretty early on. I had a bad experience with retinol and have been scared to go back to it as I have combination skin that can be pretty sensitive. I’ve now figured out you have to build it up over time so I started out using it twice a week then built up from there. Cannot recommend enough! I love this retinol. It's helped with texture and tone in a. very short period of time. My melasma is something that I have to manage really closely and this has helped to fade it significantly. Super gentle but highly effective. This product is lovely, and has not caused me irritation at all. It is a smooth, creamy texture and doesn't feel too heavy on the skin. I use this 2-4 times a week and I notice the glow the next morning. I feel that my skin has improved in texture, it is softer and adds 'bounce'.
