Really nice coverage!
I love how this product looks when it arrives and even better applied on the skin! Gives a great coverage I found for my normal/oily skin.

Good? Not sure...
Age: 30s
Skin type: light, asian descent
Skin: prone to acne, blackheads, pigaments, uneven tone. Combo skin, sensitive, prone to sun burns unless careful.

Ok so i grew up in mild temps in midwest america, moving to Oz did a number on my skin. I've recently started treatments to help my skin due to pigmentation, uneven skin texture and tone, large pores.. etc. This brand and good quality mineral makeup was referred to me by the ladies at the skin place, one being a makeup artist, I took their advice to switch from my previous in order to treat my skin better.

I have the Jane Iredale starter kit, and although the powders were messy, it seemed ok, the coverage was good. So I thought the liquid version would be better because it cuts out the mess. I bought the foundation in Radiant 03 and the BB Cream in 01.

Results:
Day 1. Usual routine (cleanse, tone, vitamins, moisturized, sunscreen), added BB Cream in 01.. it seemed okay but I noticed the cream is lumpy, might be from the minerals. It sat okay, felt okay, but I did notice it was streaky unless I really blended it in. Next, I applied the foundation without having watched the app video first, it took 4 pumps to get minerals in the mix btw, and was really disappointed. My skin felt sticky and tacky and it looked like there was no colour at all. I ended up applying the loose powder foundation over it to cut out the tacky feel on my skin. I left this on my face for the day, but by mid day, I broke out on my chin.

Day 2. Usual routine without moisturizer and sunscreen thinking it might cut out the tacky feel. I applied their mineral primer instead of the bb cream, and first tried the foundation application using the flocked sponge
  1. Really nice coverage!

I love how this product looks when it arrives and even better applied on the skin! Gives a great coverage I found for my normal/oily skin.
  2. Liquid minerals that glide on your skin

love this base foundation it goes on really well!
  3. Amazing

I work in the beauty industry and have tried everything from Napoleon to MAC to other more natural brands of foundation i personally like a nice coverage this pared with the compact powder AMAZING!!!
My skin also has a nice glow and i get complemented more on my skin now than ever it does take a good 15 minutes to settle into your skin but when it does #flawless
  4. good colour match

I had the colour matched to my skin tone by a consultant in Bendigo. The liquid mineral foundation feels weightless. I live in a tropical climate and find by using the pureMatte finish powder over the top I do not need any touch-ups during the day.
  5. Golden Glow

I love how light weight this foundation is. Perfect under any of the Jane Iredale pressed powders.
  6. very nice

leaves a nice sheer natural look

  8. Great brand

I used this for a year until I found their BB cream. I do love this product, although it took a bit to get used to applying it, as you have to work it in with a brush in different directions. I have acne/scarring so I like the BB cream as it is quick to apply and builds/covers easily. If I didn't have troubled skin, I would use this instead of the BB cream.
  9. Nice color - funny texture

I like the color of this foundation but I find the consistency and texture a bit hard to work with. You need about 3 pumps to get a full coverage and you need to work quickly as i find it dries very fast. Not sure I would buy again.
  10. Great for rosacea

This is the only liquid foundation that I’ve found so far that doesn’t trigger my rosacea, It’s comfortable to wear all day without any tightness or redness. I use a foundation brush to apply and previously used a sponge but find I get a better result with the foundation brush. I then use the amazing base mineral powder to set. It’s not perfect as I used to wear Estée Lauder double wear but can’t anymore because of the rosacea.
  11. Not bad

So this for sure isnt the best our there but it's not so bad. Not the best product in the range but worth a try.
  12. Okay foundation, not the best

Like the other reviews, the foundation does have a strange texture. It’s like a clear serum with large particles of foundation through it when it comes out of the tube. You have to apply it quickly so ensure you blend all the foundation particles in properly or it won’t look great. It does have a nice finish for day time, but it isnt enough coverage for going out.
It does have some nice skin care elements to the foundation which is why I bought it, but I don’t think it’s worth the money to be honest. Jane Iredale have must better products.
I had been using it for a while till I finally realised that this was the cause of my breakouts. Stopped using it for a while and then came back to it with the same problem. Have never had this problem with any other Jane Iredale product.
  13. Terrible

Have used Jane Iredale for years. Purchased the liquid minerals, went on fine but after 1/2 hour was flakey and looked horrible. Do not purchase, I will stick with the BB cream which is fantastic
  14. Didn't look even

Applied this to my face and it was a very odd texture and consistency that I wasn't use to but I blended it out I was told to do and after about an hour I had bits flaking off and my skin looks gritty and textured
  15. Gorgeous dewy foundation, your skin but better

I was a little hesitant about the product when I first got it because it does take some blending to get a nice ungrainy finish. Plus the first few pumps didn't contain much of the pigment beads so I was very confused as i basically got 0 coverage. However, after the first few pumps I got the hang of it. I use a soft foundation brush and buff it out onto the skin (others have also recommended using just fingers) and the finish is very gorgeous. I would consider the coverage quite light/sheer but it blurs our your blemishes without covering all your freckles. It makes a very lovely foundation on a day when you don't want to wear too much make up and are going for the natural look. Coverage can be built up either using this product or by dusting some mineral powder on top, which is what I do as this foundation has no SPF.

Overall I am very chuffed with this product and really loving it - am on my second bottle already. The downside is that there is only 30ml, it is quite expensive and it has no spf.
  16. Light and easy to apply

I have used this product for years. It applies well, provides good coverage and the bottle lasts. Highly recommend.
  17. Beautiful and lightweight perfect for everyday wear

This foundation is beautiful and lightweight perfect for every day wear, I found it is applied best with a damp make up brush as it does dry really fast, the coverage is light, I use the Jane Iredale pressed powder over top for a more medium coverage.
Would recommend the jane iredale bb cream for anyone looking for a more medium to full coverage.
  18. Sheer dewy finish, technique involved for application

Gives a lovely dewy finish that looks like skin. Can be built up for medium coverage. I would get a grainy texture when applied with a sponge. I have to use a flat foundation brush that was damp to buff out the grains which isn't the most convenient but if you have the time to apply it, the results are lovely.
  19. $$

Very pricey for a foundation that isn’t high coverage or doesn’t last long.
  20. Go to favourite - for eczema prone skin

I love Jane Iredale Products and this one in particular. I've been using for a good 10 years. It is perfect for my sensitive eczema prone skin. I never break out in a rash from wearing it. It helps my skin to look even.

I would definitely recommend this product to individuals with sensitive or dry skin.
  21. Perfect foundation!

I had been using the same foundation for years before deciding to find a new foundation to meet my needs and to accommodate the changes in my skin. Since being pregnant I've had light pigmentation over my face and I've wanted to switch to a product that not only provides a natural, dewy coverage (not heavy) but also cares for my skin as I use it. Liquid minerals is a lovely foundation to use. My skin absolutely glows when I wear it. It's easy to apply and doesn't feel heavy or cakey. I found the shade 'radiant' to be perfect for my light, neutral skin tone. The foundation coverage is also buildable by using with a concealer and powder, but for a lovely, natural and glowing daytime look it's perfect on it's own. Highly recommended!
  22. Expensive but worth it

It took me a while to start liking Liquid Minerals. I bought a bottle and really didn't like it for a long time...and then I fell in love. Now I wear it most days (not every day, because...expensive). But I know on days I wear it I will look my best.

The product itself is comprised of pigment beads suspended in a nourishing hydrating antioxidant serum. So that's nice. It doesn't make much difference to me because I wear my skincare and sunblock underneath so none of those nice ingredients actually really penetrates into my skin, but I guess the hyaluronic acid maintains a nice moisture balance on the surface. I have oily/combo skin and live in a humid climate, and I find this stays put better than JI GlowTime which is their BB cream. I guess because GlowTime has more oil-content whereas Liquid Minerals is quite a water-based foundation.

This is a "Your Skin But Better" product. It is NOT full coverage, it's barely even moderate coverage. I would say it's sheer-medium. When it's applied, it doesn't really even look like you have foundation on at all. Your skin just looks....better. Improved. Even. Hydrated. Smooth. And therein lies the addiction. I follow with just a light application of JI PurePressed Base and it gives me perfect "no makeup makeup".

The application technique is something you have to get used to - it comes out looking clumpy and separated which is due to the serum being separate from the mineral pigment pearls. You do need to work it into the skin (just lightly, no major work required) in order to break up the pigment and allow it to meld with the serum. I use a duofibre blending brush for this. I think a brush would probably work better than a sponge or Beauty Blender. It only takes a few seconds to work the foundation in, but it does need to be mentioned.

My only objection with this is the price, which I think is ridiculous. I took a star off for that. It doesn't last that long either - maybe three months for me? I think $91 is highway robbery. I appreciate that JI is the highest quality mineral foundation on the market and that her products are fantastic for sensitive skin. But NINETY ONE DOLLARS. Yeah.

Other than that, it's completely divine, and why am I even complaining as I do keep repurchasing it and have recommended it to plenty of other people.
  23. I’ve finally found a great foundation.!

great for my oily skin I have no breakouts anymore I do have to set with powder and reapply powder after 5-6 hours if I’m a bit oily but it gives you a real dewy look not shiny which I love.
Application can be tricky at first I was told to use a damp foundation brush (a Jane iredale one) which left streaks, I now use a large narrow foundation brush (nude by nature have a great one) and a round blending sponge for eyes and blending down neck and hair line. Just make sure you blend it all together before putting any on and set with powder.
  24. My number one go to product!!

This is by far become my favorite product. It's light wearing but with great coverage. I can wear it alone and still gives my skin a breathe from heavy makeup, however also mixes well with my foundation for evening wear. Since using liquid minerals I have noticed an amazing difference to the texture and even tone of my skin and have more confidence of those make up free days!
  25. Beautiful product

Very happy with this product , it is light to medium coverage with a dewy finish, I use my Jane Iredale flocked sponge to blend the finish result is beautiful.
  26. Natural flawless glow- will buy again

Was looking for something light in texture and on skin, giving enough coverage for day/night but not cakey- have worn only few times and excellent results in overall look- clear and glowing skin! Note: Make sure you mix liquid well in your fingertips before applying onto face.
Great coverage all over face and only need 1-2 pumps depending on look. A big plus is vegan AND when I went out at night the camera flash picked up natural glow NO SHINY OR WHITE FACE - BIG TICK!
  27. Beautiful Product

Two pumps of this, plus some of the Jane Iredale pressed powder over the top, is the perfect foundation bar none. It is expensive, that is my only complaint. But those two together are amazingly moisturising, flawless, poreless, repairing, and with sun protection (in the pressed powder). I dont need any skincare under this during the day because this foundation does it all, and has tonnes of antioxidents to boot. It can be a bit too dewy in the summer, but that is when you want more sun protection anyway so I don't mind adding an extra layer of pressed minerals over the top. If you have dry, sensitive skin and you want makeup that looks gorgeous and actually improves your skin, you need to try this combo. I hope Jane Iredale never stops making it, nothing else compares.
  28. Very natural, hard to apply.

This is a really light, breathable and natural finish but it is quite hard to apply as it dries quickly when applying. I use my makeup lightly anyway though still found I went through this too quickly due to how hard it was to apply. If you were to mix with a moisturiser or serum perhaps it would apply better (the finish really is stunning) but the price is too much for how quickly it is used.
  29. Liquid Minerals foundation

The colour is natural and the finish is light which makes it a great product to use during the day. It does not glide over the skin well so I have found that using Vitamin C Skin Boost from the Body Shop allows for a lovely smooth finish.
  30. Natural finish

This makeup has a great finish, possibly due to the way the beads and gel mix on the spot. Coverage is light and natural. The directions are to use two pumps per application but I found I needed three to four and so I've gone through it very quickly. For me the price point to too high for how long it has lasted.
  31. Like your not even wearing makeup

Really like Jane Iredale Liquid Minerals foundation because it looks and feels like you're not even wearing any makeup. I've got oily and sensitive skin, and I don't get any blemishes using this. Great to finish off with Jane Iredale mineral compressed powder for a flawless finish and bit of extra coverage.
  32. Lots of compliments!

Love the product, I wear it with the pressed powder and get loads of comments. I did go through it quite quickly which is a bummer as its a bit pricy & got a few small breakouts. My wedding make up artist suggested I use it once or twice a week as its quite hydrating and swap to Jane irredale BB cream for the other days (a little goes a long way). Awesome suggestion. Skin now super clear and my liquid minerals will now last longer. Note the pressed powder is excellent value and I still have more than half the compact left but onto my second bottle of liquid minerals.
  33. Perfect match

Love this product. Often get comments on how good I look since wearing this!
  34. Best foundation I've ever used!

Jane Iredale Liquid Minerals is the best foundation I've ever used!

I find it easier to apply if you warm a little in your palm before applying, then add a little more to any problem areas.
  35. Best foundation I've ever used!

I have mature, fair, very fine and sensitive skin.

I start off with a small amount and add a little more to areas needed. I always get positive comments about my natural look.
  36. This is the best foundation I have ever used

This is the best foundation I have ever used. I have combination skin - this foundation manages to keep my cheeks from getting dry during the day but also keeps the oil under control on my forehead. I do use a small amount of the Jane Iredale loose mineral powder on my forehead and nose if I'm going to need my makeup to last until the evening. It is really calming to the skin. It did take a while to get the application right, but now I just squirt two pumps onto the back of my hand and use a foundation brush to mix it until it's combined. I brush it on - more around my nose and chin - and it remains perfect for the rest of the day.
  37. Liquid Gold

Best foundation I have ever used. I have sensitive with dermatitis that flares up and this foundation never irritates. Buildable coverage is great and it literally stays on all day. Yes it does need to be mixed well on your hand or pallet before applying but this is worth it for the results.
  38. Best foundation ever.

This is by far and away the best foundation ever. Hands down. No arguments. You could go back to others but they will all be less than this. It's expensive, but it's what you need. Makes you look younger, skin feels fresher, dewier and it lasts all day. Triple thumbs up.
  39. Love it

It is light, fresh and super comfortable
  40. As per the reviewer's comments below, the product and the liquid need to be thoroughly mixed before it's applied to the face. Initially I found it hard going, and was tempted to throw the bottle away, however after using it for several days in a row I actually found that it improved my face. Coverage is medium, but you'll still need a concealer for blemishes. I can see the moisturising effects and it's not heavy at all. Extremely happy with this and will have to save up for my next bottle as mine is nearly empty!
  41. I can totally understand how this could easily be the worst foundation, but its completely in the way you apply it. You have to really blend the spheres with the clear liquid first - use a brush or sponge, and apply and blend really carefully, not using too much product. When applied well I found this the best foundation I've ever used - it stays on for ages, isn't too shiny or too matte, and good for any skin type. Loved it.
  42. This has to be the worse liquid foundation I have ever purchased. It is watery and difficult to apply. Do not waste your money.
