The Grandiflora story begins in 1995, in a small flower shop in Sydney’s Potts Point. Florist and founder Saskia Havekes quickly gained an international reputation for her bold and dramatic floral designs and use of materials then considered unconventional, including mosses, seed pods and berries. As Grandiflora grew Saskia expanded into books and then the world of fragrance. Grandiflora fragrances take inspiration from the beauty of nature and the mutability of the seasons, capturing the essence of the flower to be experienced time and time again.
Drama and scale have long been the Grandiflora signature, and this tradition continues with the release of the first two fragrances in 2013, Magnolia Grandiflora Michel and Magnolia Grandiflora Sandrine. Two quite different takes on the heady magnolia bloom, these scents established Grandiflora as someone to watch in the fragrance world. Followed in 2013 by Madagascan Jasmine, Queen of the Night in 2016, and Boronia in 2017, each Grandiflora perfume offers a new interpretation on both beloved and unexpected ingredients.
What are some of the most loved Grandiflora fragrances?
- I want something unexpected
Launched in 2017, Grandiflora Boronia is both enchantingly floral and earthy. Centred around the native Australian wildflower, this fragrance features notes of cognac, tobacco, resins and caramel. A floral chypre, this scent combines woody, floral and spicy accords for a unisex fragrance that is well suited to cool Autumn and Winter days.
- I love white florals
Grandiflora Madagascan Jasmine perfectly captures the essence of this heady flower, loved by florists and perfumers alike. Fresh green and aquatic notes open this scent, before the full-blooming Jasmine takes centre stage. Wearable day or night, and ideal for spring and summer.
