Not for me unfortunately

I had high hopes for this night cream after reading the great reviews, but unfortunately it doesn’t work for me. It is definitely rich and moisturising, but too...
  1. Consistency is sticky

    Courtney

Really don't like this moisteriser, for the price! It is sticky and feels more like a lip gloss opposed to a moisteriser. It also pills (goes into little balls) when mixed with any face oil (which I usually mix my moisterisers with if they're thick). really unhappy with the purchase unfortunately :( there is better moisterisers for the price of $40.00

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! I have sensitive skin and find It hard to find products that are good for my skin but this product is great! It goes on really well, I would recommend using a face oil before hand for easier application. Its extremely thick and balm like so if you don't like that feeling then I wouldn't recommend. My face feels amazing and hydrated the next morning
  3. very good

    Ping

if you had really dry skin I think you would benefit, but if your looking for a night cream I think it is a bit too thick.
  4. WASTE OF MONEY

    Kezza

I love Elizabeth Arden and have many of her products, I bought this to use over my serums at night.
However I was very disappointed in this product, it feels like lip balm, or lanolin and even if you warm it up in your fingers, before applying, it’s very heard to spread on your face and it pulled my skin.
It was very heavy and greasy and made my face feel awful.
    I have sensitive ...

This cream is the only thing that has soothed and helped to heal the soreness. An absolute godsend. I am now putting it on dry areas, lips and even cuticles and it is so nourishing. I have recomended it to all of my colleagues.

I have been buying this for a long time...I wear overnight....Im 47 and have found this is brilliant....hydrating....
  7. Waxy but good?

    Tess

    verified purchaser
This is a very waxy feel night moisturiser, also where you feel you should wash it off after a while. However once it has sunk in, it does leave your skin feeling amazing. If you like a more oil feel, do not buy.
  8. Heavy

    Afarch

    verified purchaser
I initially purchased this for a night cream though it's more of a product i use only on dry spots on my face as it's quite heavy. It works so well when my skin is extremely dry. I pop it on at night and the next morning it feels soooo much better. A little goes a long way too. I'll continue using this.
  9. Not a fan

    Nicole

    verified purchaser
The reviews are so good so I was really disappointed. It's so hard to apply, I feel like if I warm it up in my hand for easy application, most the product soaks into my hands. But as a balm, I felt like I was stretching my face trying to apply. Even with my skin still damp.

On top of that, it just would not absorb into my skin. Even using it on just the dry areas. It's now the most e...

  11. Super hydrating and great price point

    Maddie L

This is a really hydrating thick moisturiser. Perfect for night time use. I can’t recommend highly enough!
  12. Disappointed not what I was expecting

    Aimee. R

This shouldn’t be called a cream , it’s more of a balm , it doesn’t sink into your skin , if you had really dry skin I think you would benefit, but if your looking for a night cream I wouldn’t recommend, I don’t think this would suit everyone, I didn’t want to sleep in it as I felt like it was going to wreck my pillow , it’s very balm /barrier cream/silicone in texture

LOve this....use nightly...I put on quite thick....I have been using for probably 10yrs....always go back to it...
  14. Hydrating

    Jacinta

Very thick and lush. Hydrating and great to sleep in to give it time to penetrate the skin and deeply moisturise. The scent is very subtle.
  15. Miracle cream

    Annie

This truly is a miracle cream. I apply it at night and in the morning my skin is so soft and glowing.
  16. my new go-to mosturizer

    perfecting skin

i use it every night before going to bed and in the morning my skin is so soft and hydrated. i have a very sensitive and dry skin and this product acted wonders for me. truly worth the try for dry skin.
  17. A little goes a long way

    k8

It had a nice scent, but it was very think, I have oily - combination skin so it was a bit too much for me, I think it would suit someone with dry skin who needed an intense burst of moisture. I have kept it in my kit as an overnight sunburn repair.
  18. Thick, creamy nighttime moisturiser

    EmmaD

This is a great moisturiser for very dehydrated skin. It’s almost a balm rather than cream. It’s going to come in handy when I travel as I think it will work wonders after a long flight. Good value at $40 too.
  19. Super rich but not for every night

    Kathryn

I tried this product after it being recommended from a friend and really like the super hydrating feel of this cream.

I would add it on last, to seal in all your other products and have found it's best to warm it up between your fingers to ensure that it isn't too viscose to spread across your face. It's nice waking up feeling like your skin is very hydrated however I wouldn't use it ...

  20. Not for me unfortunately

    Court

I had high hopes for this night cream after reading the great reviews, but unfortunately it doesn’t work for me. It is definitely rich and moisturising, but too greasy for my face. It contains petrolatum, lanolin and other heavy ingredients that don’t seem to soak into my skin, rather it just sits on top and I’m having to consciously keep my hair away from my skin. The scent is ok, not quite laven...

  21. Amazing!

    S

I am a long time follower of Elizabeth Arden range and this is the first time I have purchased this and find it an excellent Nighttime cream. Moisturizing and light, feeling excellent on my sensitive and aging skin.
  22. Great

    Peta

I have been using this cream for about a year now. Healed my skin. Dry spots gone. No more peeling with seborrheic dermatitis.

  23. Perfect for my dry skin

    Taeylor

Leading in to winter I was looking for something a bit more to hydrate and nourish my skin. I suffer from dermatitis, which is often aggravated during the colder months, and I have found this moisturiser leaves my skin happy, soft and hydrated in the morning. I have to say that the cream is quite heavy, and feels a bit much at first but it makes such a difference!
  24. Life changing!!

    Madison

This moisturiser is sooooo good! I feel like it really holds in all the moisture possible. I put this over my regular skincare regime and I feel like my serums were able to work better because the balm kind of holds them in like a humectant. Goodbye dry skin, nice knowing you!
  25. Amazing

    Suzanne

I used to use this product years ago and stopped due to a change in my skin. It’s perfect now for my skin being dry. It’s also nice luxurious mask for night and great for rashes, scratches and pesty bites as well to soothe the skin
  26. Luxurious night cream

    Brooke

Goes on like a luxuriously thick balm and absorbs quickly. A beautiful soft lavender fragrance. Skin feels lovely when it’s on
  27. lush

    KATE

this is a thick cream, my skin can get oily so it didnt soak in as well as I would like, but my face feels nice and soft in the mornings
  28. Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour® Cream Skin Protectant Nighttime Miracle Moisturiser

    michelle

Loved this///have been buying for a long time....I change but always come back...
  29. Love this product! Skin saviour.

    Britt

I love this cream and use it as a thick nighttime moisturiser. I’ve also used it a lip balm, a highlighter over makeup and on my boyfriend when it is looking dry. Always makes me feel good after putting it on, or looking at my skin the day after.
  30. Would only work for VERY dry skin

    Meghan

I bought this for winter as my skin tends to get quite dry in the cold. This product seems to be for extreme cases of dryness and feels more like a Vaseline texture and consistency. I have used it on my cracked heels at night, but it's a pretty expensive treatment to use on the bottom of your feet!
  31. Rich and creamy

    Jenna

Great for dry skin, this cream is thick and works well overnight.
  32. incredible

    bella

I suffer from really dry skin, especially in the winter. This overnight cream has truly been a miracle. It goes on quite thick but when I wake up my skin is so soft without any dry patches. It leaves me radiant and glowing. I honestly cannot recommend this enough!
  33. Skin is soft and moisturised

    Selina

I have normal to dry skin and have been using this night cream for about two weeks. I notice a visible difference in my skin. My complexion has evened out, my skin is more luminous, and my skin is SO soft! I can't say enough great things about this product!! My only regret is that I didn't buy into the hype sooner.
  34. Great for dry skin

    Caitlin

I have dry skin and am always on the hunt for a great hydrating moisturiser - and I found it! I use this product at night and always wake up with soft dewy skin. If I had any criticism it would be that it can feel a bit ‘sticky’ when first applied, but I do find that it melts in quick :)
  35. Gives you soft, glowing skin

    Rowena

I'm 23 with sensitive skin. I'm quite pale so I have some pigmentation and get the odd breakout on my chin and cheeks. I use this after products with a few more drying chemicals to replace the moisture to my skin. My skin always feels amazing the next day. The only downside is that it's a bit heavy and doesn't absorb fast so my skin is sticky to touch for a few hours after applying. It's worth it ...

  36. Great Texture, Lovely Smell

    Aimee

This product works fantastically and I love it! Its has more of a balm texture and you only need a small amount. The lavender smell is just right, not too strong and discrete. Product packaging is a little smaller than expected but the actual product inside is packed in and there's plenty of it.
  37. A trusted Nighttime Cream

    MJ

I am 42 with fair skin prone to dryness.

This is lovely night cream to use after I have applied my serums.

For those people that still love a good night cream, you can't go past this. Would repurchase.
  38. Love love this cream

    Kimberley

I love this cream, it’s very similar to the classic 8 hour just more spreadable. I have dryer skin and it feels lovely when you wake up in the morning still. If you love a slightly greasy night cream, I’d definitely try this
