Reduces acne and it’s good for oily skin. However, the smell of alcohol is very strong and the product itself is very drying. I have oily skin but my nose becam...
  1. Transformed my skin

    Lily

Seen great results , skin has never been this clear before. Only down side bit drying but that could easily be solved . Will order more
  2. Good

    T

Good toner that actually helps with blemishes but can be drying even for my combination skin. Follow it up with hydrating moisturisers.
  3. toner

not essential but it does get rid of excess oil on my skin. would recommend for oily skin
  4. Really nice acne toner

    Mon

This is a good toner for acne prone skin. Can be a little drying so make sure to moisturise well.
  5. Great!

    Diego

I love this product. I have been using it along with the Gel Cleanser, All Over Clearing Treatment and Clinical Clearing Gel for spots for about 2 months. My redness and blemishes are generally gone, apart from the odd pimple. Would definitely recommend for people with breakouts!
  6. Great toner for blemishes

    Maria

This is a really really nice toner for blemishes. Helps clear blemishes very well.
  7. Great for blemish prone

    Lauren

I find this lotion similar to the other step two range toners but this is targeted for blemishes. It does feel like it helps, but I wouldn't use it every day but for when I am encountering blemishes as it does feel a bit drying
  8. Love it!

    Kat00

Love this product. Helps heal blemishes quickly.
  9. Too drying

    P

I don't know why but some of the acne products from this brand are too drying for my skin and this is no exception. It helps clear the blemishes but takes away natural oils too.
  10. works okay

    e

This stuff is okay. I saw more positive results when I first started using it, but since then I havent really noticed that much of a difference in my skin. Overall, I do recommend this product as it feels really nice and gentle and really does work.
  11. Good toner but dries out the skin

    Moni.B

I used to toner for a while for my acne prone skin, it is a nice product to help with oiliness and breakouts. However, the alcohol in it is VERY drying and does strip your skin of its oils which isn't too great. I think it is good for short term breakouts.
  12. Can be drying

    Ashley

Reduces acne and it’s good for oily skin. However, the smell of alcohol is very strong and the product itself is very drying. I have oily skin but my nose became dry and flaky after using this product for a week.
  13. Acne no more

    Hayley

If you suffer from acne try this! Really notice a huge difference
  14. very strong

    Catherine

I got this when I had a few break outs along my cheeks. it is very strong, the scent is also very overpowering and when applied it stung my cheeks. I persisted a few days and it just stung and made my cheeks red so I won't be using anymore.
  15. Got rid of my blemishes

    Vicky

I have a lot of blemishes from acne and I used this along with the all over clearing treatment. I would not recommend using the whole blemish line as the blemish products can be drying. Choosing a couple items from the blemish line should be enough to help clear blemishes. You have to shake this bottle well before using it. Can be used everyday without drying out your skin but you must moisturise ...

  16. Not for sensitive skin

    Prabhjot

This is not for sensitive skin, it tingles and makes the spots a dark red/brown color instead of getting rid of them. Also skin starts to peel off where I apply this. My acne was still there after 6 days when normally that lasts 3-4 days on it's own.
  17. Quite stripping

    Neel

I have used this as part of their 'system' and I did not enjoy it. It is very drying and dehydrating on the skin. I also got a burning sensation on my face every time I used it and found it did not do anything for my breakouts.
  18. Fantastic

    Laura

really hydrating my my dry skin but also helps to clean my skin and reduce the amount of acne i have on my face
  19. Definitely worth trying

    Asiye

This was recommended to me by a friend who swore it worked for her acne and blemishes. However I didn’t find that it helped me with mine. In saying that each persons skin is different and reacts differently to skincare so I would say definitely give this a go if you have acne prone skin
  20. Cleans deeply

    Dee

I like this product as it removes a lot of dirt that my cleanser doesn't. I only use it once a day (at night) as it's quite strong and I don't feel like i need it in the morning. It is very effective for my oily, adult acne prone skin. This product feels nice on my skin, it doesn't sting my face.
  21. Really confusing labelling!

    Bettina

I'm saddened to say I am not a fan of this of many fronts. First off the labelling is really off. It describes itself as a clarifying lotion and a twice a day exfoliator. When I think of a lotion, I think of a water based cream and when I think of a exfoliator I think of a face scrub. Not an alcohol based solution. I feel it should be described as a toner, not a lotion or exfoliator.

  22. Does the job

    Amy

The powder element gives me a bit of worry that it will stop my serums from sinking in but my god does it get a lot of gunk out! The colour of the cotton ball after is proof! Makes me realise my cleanser is missing a lot of my make up.
  23. Strong toning lotion for acne

    Abbie

I have oily and acne prone skin, this product does sting my skin when it goes on after cleansing, but it definitely helps to heal any pimples I have and stop the spread of bacteria on my face. It does smell quite strong when you open the bottle, like alcohol but it doesn't seem to dry out my skin though, it dries out my pimples and oily areas instead. I do notice a different when I don't use this,...

  24. Nice One

    Maddison

I really liked it and it hydrates the skin and leaves the skin fresh!! Slightly drying though so wouldn't recommend for anyone with super dry skin
  25. Effective

    Di

This product is effective at clearing skin - it dries out acne and helps prevent further breakouts. It is harsh - but acne prone skin sometimes needs a more stringent product for results - it has worked for me!
  26. Excellent

    Sandy

I really liked it and it hydrates the skin and leaves the skin fresh!!
  27. Harsh and stripping

    Rebekka

I found this way too harsh - while I have sensitive skin prone to the odd spots every now and then, I was told this was a good option by a clinique sales person. After trying, my skin felt extremely dry, and if i used more than a couple of consecutive days, would feel irritated with lots of little red bumps. Looking at the ingredients and level of alcohol I would not repurchase, and threw out th...

  28. Pretty harsh

    Kirsten

This contains 1.5% salicylic acid (which is good), but the 2nd listed ingredient is alcohol (which is bad!) Salicylic acid can be drying enough without adding a ton of alcohol to your skin.

The other issue I find with Clinique (and other old-school cosmetics companies) is though while their products might be 'dermatologically tested' (aren't they all?) -- they don't seem to pay much ...

  29. Pretty good

    Natalie

I did like this product and it did a great job off cleaning my skin but my skin is sensitive and it did sting a little so I wouldn't use this religiously as I think it's a little too harsh. I would still use it if I feel I needed an extra cleansing step.
