We’ve Just Launched Hair Clips. Here’s How We Style Them

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably noticed we’re living in the age of the hair accessory. Scrunchies have made their comeback, shortly followed by the rise of hair scarves, which have since been overshadowed by hair clips.

At Adore HQ, we’ve all been dabbling in how to style our Valet clips, and we promise you won’t look like an 8-year-old girl wearing them. They’re cool and we stick by that statement.

Tell Me More:

Most of Valet‘s clips are made from lightweight, hand-poured resin with a sturdy clasp to secure the hair in place (the Fabiana pearl clip, Lulu beaded barette and the Joline furry clip are made from alternative materials).

The best part about the hair clip trend is that you can take a really bad hair day, and make it good again. Or even better – take a basic outfit and amp it up a notch. We’ve tried and tested both techniques in our office, and I can confirm the clips solve both a bad hair day and a drab outfit, guaranteed.

How To Style Them:

My personal favourite clip is Claudia. She’s a pink mermaid shell clip that I like to use to secure a half-up, half-down ‘do (that otherwise would’ve looked like I rolled straight out of bed). I may not be able to see her myself, but I know everyone else is admiring her on the back of my head.

The next look that’s been doing the rounds in the office in the classic double-sider with Kelly. It’s the easiest to do, and the easiest to pull off. Simply part your hair in the middle, and slide your clips in on each side of your part. Voila! You’re instantly cooler.

And then there’s the one-sider or double-up one-sider. Are you enjoying all my names I’ve made up? I’m trademarking them. Anyway, I think those ones are pretty self-explanatory (one clip on one side, or two clips on one side). This style looks best with Sophie.
