We’re very excited to announce that we are partnering with Oxfam to offer our customers the opportunity to lend a helping help to those who need it, and make a difference to people living in poverty.
Oxfam Unwrapped is a great initiative which allows supporters to add a gift card purchase to their Adore Beauty order, donating a sum of their choice directly to Oxfam. The range of cards gives people a tangible example of how Oxfam tackles poverty and helps to engage new supporters with their work.

Founder & CEO of Adore Beauty
Why did Adore Beauty choose to partner with Oxfam?
Oxfam is a wonderful organization that has been empowering communities to lift themselves out of poverty for over 60 years. Their approach is not just about short term relief, but building for the long term – lasting solutions that can address the root causes of poverty.
Why is this cause important to you personally?
I feel extremely fortunate to have been born into a life of privilege. I’ve always been able to take clean water, food, and education for granted; my two children will never go to bed hungry.
It’s the least we can do to try and help those who were not born into this privilege. I have been a supporter of Oxfam for many years, and I particularly admire the work they do towards gender justice and empowerment for women and girls.
What can customers do to get involved in this initiative?
It’s really easy – just tack on an Oxfam gift card with your next beauty purchase! All proceeds from these cards now go directly to Oxfam, and there’s a range of donation options from $5 to $55. Every little bit extra counts.

What kind of female focussed projects are Oxfam currently working on?
Gender equality is a key focus across all Oxfam’s programs whether in disaster response situations or in our long term development work, it is at the heart of our philosophy that all lives are equal and no-one should live in poverty.
In Pakistan for instance, we’re providing women with practical training to become leaders in their communities and promoting gender justice through media events, the distribution of educational materials, and research on women’s rights and violence against women.
In Indonesia, we’re promoting women’s rights and equality by increasing women’s political participation and reducing levels of violence through education, influencing and better legal services to the community.
How do these projects benefit women and children in disadvantaged communities?
Discrimination and injustice are major causes of poverty worldwide, and women and girls bear the brunt of it in all aspects of their lives.
You’re more likely to be poor if you’re a woman. And if you’re a woman, you’re also likely to be doing most of the work.
With your support, we can help women earn an income, access decent work, and reduce and redistribute the burden of unpaid work. We can empower women to take leadership positions within their communities and speak on issues that affect them. And we can work with governments to support and promote gender equality within communities to create long-term lasting change for women and girls.
What does Oxfam’s Unwrapped gift card initiative involve?
The Oxfam Unwrapped gift card initiative has been running in Australia for 13 years and – thanks to the generosity of ordinary Australians – has raised an incredible $50 million to tackle poverty worldwide.
When you give an Unwrapped gift card to your family or friends, you are contributing a donation to a specific type of project that empowers communities to tackle poverty by providing education, clean water and other life-changing essentials.
We are overjoyed to have Adore Beauty promoting the Oxfam Unwrapped range at their checkout and look forward to continuing to work together to help empower communities to tackle poverty.
We’re inviting you to take part in the Adore Beauty 7-Days of Colour Lipstick Challenge. Each day, wear a new fabulous lip colour and post about it on your Instagram using the hashtag #AB7daysofcolour. We asked a few of the girls in the office to give it a go, so if you need a little inspiration, read on!
“Nude lips go with everything but it’s a look I used to struggle with, as I kept buying shades that were wrong for my skin tone. If your skin is fair, avoid shades that have white notes – I look for shades with rose, brown or deep coral undertones, like this comfortable stunner from Napoleon.”
“As I have a medium skin tone with a pink undertone, I go for a warmer nude. Raw Sugar is perfect for this! Pure Color Envy Love is definitely one of my favourite lipstick formulas as it is super creamy, and semi matte so it won’t dry out your lips, and the nude looks nude!”
“This has been my everyday lip colour for the past year. The formula is super nourishing and the sheer hint of colour works perfectly if you’re after a ‘no makeup’ makeup look [my go-to]. My natural lip colour runs a little darker than I like, so my trick is to first apply a bit of concealer and then pop this sheer colour over the top. If worn alone, this colour is more raisin than what you see here.”
“MODELROCK nailed it with this one. I’m hard pressed to think of something more versatile than this neutral-toned, flattering red. The formula is fantastic too – it’s matte but not dehydrating, and stays put all day long. You could wear this for a night out, or out to brunch.”
“If I wear a red lip, it must be 3 things: matte and bright with an orange undertone. Gerard Liquid Lipstick in Immortal ticks all of these boxes. I love matte red lips as you can over-line your lips so they look super plump. Immortal is very bright and has more of an orange undertone rather than many reds that usually have a blue undertone. I prefer orange undertones as I feel they make my teeth look whiter, and I love how the colour looks with my green eyes.”
“I love the Pure Color Envy Love shade range. The colours are rich and vibrant. I’m often told I should wear more colour because it will compliment my skin tone, and trying on this shade actually surprised me – I love it. This red works perfectly with darker skin tones, so if you’re looking for a signature red – this is definitely a winner!”
“I usually don’t wear too deep of a lip, as I think a dark lip looks too dressy on me! I like Miss Kitty Black Plum by Shanghai Suzy, as it’s not too dark of a plum for my skin tone and I still feel like I look youthful.”
“Normally, if you had shown me this shade in it’s gorgeous frosted tube packaging, I would have laughed and told you, you were dreaming. But by day three, I was starting to become a little more experimental with my choices. The colour of the Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte lipsticks gives you a super rich, dense pigment that literally will.not.budge. Three chai lattes later, promise.”
“The colour of this lipstick is what originally attracted me to it – an office-safe pinky rose. But wow is this lipstick comfortable. I use this in place of a lip balm, and no matter how dehydrated my lips are, this makes fine lines disappear.”
“Pinks are pretty much my nudes! When I wear Lana, I feel a little more girly and dressy than I do wearing my usual nude lippies. Lana is a warmer pink which I prefer to cool pinks as I have a pink undertone to my skin. Also, I think this pink makes my green eyes pop! The formula is matte but does not dry my lips out – which is key.”
“I find pink shades which work well on fairer skin tones can look quite washed out when applied to darker skin, so I usually opt for something that packs a bit more punch. Cosmic Pink is gorgeous and looks almost hot pink when you look at it in it’s tube. This formula is super moisturising. Bobbi Brown really knows how to cater to all skin tones, so this one is a big thumbs up from me!”
“My skin is yellow with blue undertones, which for some reason means most lipsticks turn plummy on me. Dark Cherry is a great choice if you’re interested in the metallic lip trend but you’re worried it wont suit you – easy to wear and beautiful.”
“I find most rose lip shades are quite cool-toned which I don’t think suits my warmer skin undertones. I love this metallic shade by MODELROCK because even though it is a cooler tone, the metallic finish picks up on my warmer makeup. I love that it’s such a different finish. I did not expect a metallic lipstick to be as wearable as this is!”
“Not usually a colour I would pick, but this rose also works well as an alternative to a nude for darker skin. The colour is more muted and because of the matte finish I feel like my lips look fuller than usual – win! I’d recommend wearing this for darker skin tones when paired with a light, neutral wardrobe for understated elegance that doesn’t look dull.”
“Of the seven days, this shade is by far my favourite! The Bobbi Brown Luxe Lip Colours are non-drying and wear extremely well throughout the day. I feel like this colour just brightens up my skin tone, I usually pair this with a touch of Bobbi Brown blush in Clementine. The perfect combination!”
“I’m obsessed with this shade! A gorgeous fiery orange that gives a more plump look to the lips. This is one of my favourites for when I look in the mirror before I leave and realise I’m accidentally wearing all black (again) – it instantly brightens up your look.”
“I love to wear a coral lip when I have a tan, (fake or real), or when I wear a summery colourful outfit. No black. My tip for applying the Benefit They’re Real! Double the Lip lipstick: use your fingers or a lip brush to blend the colour together nicely instead of wearing it as a liner and lipstick duo.”
“Ending the week with a lip tint in Papaya; a glorious orange hue that works wonders to brighten up a casual look. My favourite thing about these Beach Tint’s are their versatility, you can add a pinch to your cheeks for a flushed look and pop the same colour over your lips – two products in one tiny tube. And don’t be fooled, a little goes a long way!”

★★★★★ Nice clean smell– by Anna
“A nice clean powdery smell I think this smell suits a baby’s nursery perfectly. I was a bit excited about burning this candle that I’ve already finished it lol, but the quality is amazing can’t wait to try out glasshouse’s other scents. The best thing about this candle is that you can smell it even after you extinguish the flame and it can really add enough fragrance to a room just by keeping the lid off. Definitely going to buy more!”
